PM Residency Men’s Hostel – Terms & Conditions for Inmates
1. Admission and Documentation
1.1 Every inmate must submit valid ID proof (Aadhaar, Driving License, or College/Office ID) and passport-size photographs at the time of admission.
1.2 Admission is non-transferable and cannot be shared or sublet to others under any circumstances.
1.3 Hostel management reserves the right to accept or reject admission without assigning any reason.
2. Fee Payment and Refund Policy
2.1 Room rent, maintenance, and mess charges must be paid on or before the due date every month.
2.2 Late payment beyond the due date will attract a late fee of ₹100 per day + 18% GST.
2.3 Non-payment of fees for more than 10 days will result in termination of stay and locking of the room.
2.4. Electricity charges will be collected based on the meter readings inside the room and will be shared by the inmates. EB charges might vary based upon the government regulations. Aprox – 14.5 Rs per unit will be collected based on the readings, ( this is not a fixed amount, as the tariff might be revised by TNEB )
2.5. Common Electricity charges will be collected based on the common EB meter readings and it will be divided by the total number of inmates staying / booked / not stayed.
2.6 Rooms can be blocked only for 10 days, No refund or adjustment will be made for advance rent, deposits, or mess fees if you did not occupy the room within 10 days of booking or else in case of delay, rent will be collected from the date of booking.
2.7 Non refundable security deposit of Rs:1500 will be collected at the time of admission or else it will be deducted from the advance paid at the time of vacating the hostel.
2.8 Any damages caused to hostel property will be recovered with penalties (minimum ₹1,000 & actual repair cost )
3. Conduct and Discipline
3.1 Inmates must maintain discipline, cleanliness, and decency within the hostel premises.
3.2 Rude behavior, fights, harassment, or arguments with staff or other residents will lead to immediate expulsion without refund.
3.3 Smoking, alcohol consumption, drug use, or gambling inside or near hostel premises is strictly prohibited. Violation will result in instant termination and police complaint.
3.4 Visitors and outsiders are not allowed inside rooms. Visiting hours are strictly restricted to common areas with prior permission.
3.5 Playing loud music, parties, or causing disturbance to other inmates will not be tolerated.
3.6 Misuse of electricity, inventries like mosquito nets, Doors, water, or other hostel resources will attract penalties of Rs:500 – Rs:1000 with replacement cost and possible eviction.
4. Room Maintenance
4.1 Inmates are responsible for maintaining cleanliness of their rooms and bathrooms.
4.2 Hostel staff may inspect rooms periodically without prior notice, while changing the bed covers, we ensure that everything will be handled carefully incase any damage or losses, management is not responsible for the valuables kept on the bed.
4.3 Furniture, fixtures, and electrical fittings must not be moved or tampered.
4.4 Any damages or theft of hostel property will result in fines (Rs:500 + Total value of the product based on the market price ) and immediate disciplinary action.
5. Safety and Security
5.1 The management is not responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings. Inmates are advised to use their own locks and keep valuables secured.
5.2 Fire safety and emergency exits must be respected; misuse of fire alarms or extinguishers will lead to severe action.
5.3 Entry and exit timings are strictly monitored. Inmates must return to the hostel by 10:30 PM and the Main gates and terrace gates will be closed, even if washing machines are on. Prior written permission is necessary for working professionals who work on a shift basis.
6. Mess and Common Facilities
6.1 Food provided at the residence is not part of the hostel or included in the fee package. It is only an arrangement facilitated by the management for the convenience and benefit of residents.
6.2 No Claims or Adjustments
No refund, fee adjustment, or compensation shall be claimed or entertained on the grounds of:
Food quality, Quantity, Timing issues, Personal dissatisfaction, Non-consumption.
6.3 Mess timing and menu are fixed and cannot be altered for individual preferences, if food vessels are collected before you consume, management is not responsible for that.
6.4 Wastage of food or misuse of mess facilities and consumption of food inside the rooms will result in a fine of ₹500 per instance & repeated violations leads to immediate termination of the accommodation no arguments entertained.
6.5 Common areas like , laundry, and parking should be used responsibly.
6.6 Laundry machines, heaters, and washing areas should not be misused; repeated misuse will lead to suspension of facility access & damages leads to fine or Rs:500 and replacement cost.
7. Check-Out Policy
7.1 Minimum 40 days’ written notice is required before vacating, no excuses in this terms.
7.2 All dues, damages, and outstanding bills must be cleared before check-out.
7.3 Hostel management reserves the right to evict any inmate without notice in case of serious rule violations, non-payment, or misconduct.
7.4 Unclaimed belongings after check-out or expulsion will be disposed of after 7 days without notice.
8. Management Rights
8.1 PM Residency reserves full authority to amend rules and regulations as necessary for smooth functioning.
8.2 Management’s decision in all matters related to discipline, payment, fines and stay shall be final and binding.
8.3 CCTV surveillance is active 24×7 for safety and monitoring purposes.
9. Legal Compliance
9.1 All inmates must abide by hostel rules, local laws, and public order regulations.
9.2General Disciplinary Authority Clause
The management reserves the right to impose reasonable fines ( Rs: 500 – Rs1000) , penalties, or disciplinary action and total replacement costs for violations of hostel polices including instances not explicitly listed in these Terms & Conditions, based on the nature, frequency, and seriousness of the misconduct, in order to maintain safety, hygiene, discipline, and a conducive environment.
9.2 Any violation involving criminal behavior will result in immediate expulsion and police action.
10.Parking Rules
10.1 Only registered two-wheelers of residents are allowed, its based on the first come first serve basis
10.2Vehicles must be parked in designated areas.
10.3Management is not responsible for theft or damage.
11.Room Allotment & Shifting
11.1Room allocation is at the discretion of management.
11.2Residents cannot change or swap rooms without written permission.
12Medical & Emergency
- Residents must immediately inform hostel authorities in case of illness or emergencies.
- Contagious illness must be reported; the resident may be asked to shift or vacate temporarily for safety.
This terms and conditions can be changed or altered without prior notice, final decision is with the management & comes with immediate effect
